Children in Scotland is excited to be recruiting for a new Policy, Projects and Participation Officer. The candidate will play an important part in our Policy, Project and Participation Department working on a diverse range of projects and policy issues, as well as leading our UNCRC training programme.

Policy, Projects and Participation Officer

You will be involved in project delivery, participation work with children and young people, and influencing national policy and legislation to improve children’s lives. You will also lead the development and delivery of Children in Scotland’s UNCRC training programme, working closely colleagues in our Learning and Events team.

We are looking for someone who has strong knowledge of children’s rights and the Scottish policy landscape, experience of delivering or developing training, and experience of working with children and young people.

*Children in Scotland is Edinburgh based but, until further notice, this role will be remote/home-based, with some travel to Edinburgh required for meetings and the option of use of office space in Edinburgh and/or Glasgow. Arrangements will be reviewed, with staff involvement, throughout the 2023-24 year.
